Who we are
First Steps Soccer (“FSS”, “we”) is a family-run children's football coaching business run by Mark and Joe Wenham, coaching children aged 2–10 in Bristol, Swindon and Chippenham. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
Questions about your information: email firststepssoccer@hotmail.co.uk or text 07825 994671.
What we collect and why
Free trial enquiries
When you book a free trial on a venue page, we collect:
- your child's name and date of birth (so we can place them in the right age group)
- your phone number and email address (so we can contact you about the trial)
- the venue and class you prefer
We use this only to arrange your child's free trial and reply to your enquiry. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before you join, and our legitimate interest in running our classes. We never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Joining
If you decide to join after a trial, monthly membership is paid by Direct Debit through GoCardless. GoCardless handles your bank details under its own privacy policy; we don't receive or store them on this website.
How long we keep it
Trial enquiries are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless your child joins our classes, in which case we keep the details needed to run your membership while your child attends.
Where it is stored
Enquiries are stored securely with our database provider (Supabase) and the website is hosted by Vercel. Only FSS staff with a password-protected login can see enquiries.
