Age Groups

Football classes for every age, 2 to 10

Pre-school classes are grouped by age. School-age classes are grouped by school year, taking experience and current ability into account, so every child is challenged at the right level. Every child starts with a free trial.

Pre-School (ages 2–4)

Football for 2, 3 and 4 year olds

Our pre-school classes are where most First Steps Soccer players take their very first steps with a football. The aim is simple: make football the best part of their week, while quietly building the foundations of a great footballer.

Reception + Year 1 (ages 4–6)

Football for Reception and Year 1 (ages 4 to 6)

Once children start school, they're ready for more. In our Reception and Year 1 classes they work more independently, spend much more time with the ball at their feet, and play their first proper matches.

Year 2+ (ages 6–10)

Football for Year 2 and up (ages 6 to 10)

From Year 2 the pace picks up. Drills are more demanding, sessions move faster and players take more responsibility for their own game, while we keep sharpening the core skills they've built up over the years.
